There are also riding schools which are renting horses. In the riding schools horses are ready for you to go into nature for a couple of days. You come through woods, dunes and along the beach. Every day a guided ride outside is made. A ride in daytime is nicely relaxing, but exciting evening- or even night rides are organized as well.

Wie wil buiten rijden in Middelkerke, doet er goed aan de schoolvakanties in het oog te houden. Gedurende de paasvakantie, de pinkstervakantie en van 1 juni tot en met 15 september is alle verkeer met paarden en rijdieren op het strand verboden:
- tussen 0.00 en 19.30 uur op de strook gelegen tussen de golfbreker ter hoogte van de Houyouxstraat en 'De Rotonde',
- tussen 0.00 en 19.30 uur op de strook gelegen tussen de golfbreker ter hoogte van de Strandlaan en de grens van de gemeente met de stad Nieuwpoort,
- op de overige gedeelten van het strand.
Buiten deze periodes is het verkeer met paarden en rijdieren overal op het strand toegelaten zonder tijdsbeperking.
Horseback riding at the beach is the most beautiful at low tide, one could gallop to his heart’s content over the wide beach. Please watch carefully at the information signs which are at each beach(entrance) for eventual (temporary) rules.
